Pragma Homes has a long history of proudly supporting local services, school initiatives and sporting organisations across Hamilton. As a Waikato family-owned and operated company, we at Pragma Homes are always looking for ways to give back to our local community.

Our Community Involvement

As a fixture of the local Hamilton community, we at Pragma Homes believe we have a responsibility to support our local communities, kids, clubs, and services to uplift and help improve the lives of everyone in our wider region.

Waikato Children’s Christmas Party

It was a huge privilege to be a major sponsor of the 2021 Waikato Special Children’s Christmas Party which was enjoyed by many special and very deserving local children.

Hauora Wellbeing Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student who has shown the values of care, empathy, service to others, wellbeing and resilience in their final year of school. In 2021, Pragma was proud to present this award to Jack Nielsen – congratulations Jack and all the best for the future from all of us at Pragma Homes.

Major Sponsor - Nesian Festival

Pragma was proud to be the major sponsor of the 2021 Nesian Festival, an event which celebrates and showcases the diversity of Pacific cultures here in Hamilton.

It also gives us the chance to acknowledge the connections that already exist between Pragma Homes and the Waikato Pasifika community. For instance, our family originates from Fiji so has very strong ties to the region, we have a number of highly-valued Pasifika staff members and colleagues within the wider Pragma whanau, and we count many Polynesian families among our clients.

We are proud to work with a wide range of high-quality, major suppliers, at Pragma Homes based in Hamilton, Waikato, New Zealand, to ensure each new home is built to the highest standard.

June 2020 Ambulance Sponsorship

It was a great privilege for all of us at Pragma Homes to attend the commissioning of a new fully-equipped ambulance last Thursday. Our Mistry family – who own and operate the Pragma Group of companies here in Hamilton – have donated this to the local order of St John. In commenting on the significant donation, Sanjil Mistry (our owner) said it had come about after he had been reflecting on his own experiences.

“Making this donation has been on my mind for the past 12 months, as immediate loved ones have completed the circle of life.”

2023 Boat club Scouts group sponsorship

Kirikiriroa & St. Peter’s Scouts approached pragma homes to sponsor a new sailing cutter or part of a Cutter as the current ones where not fit for purpose for our Tamariki as they had past there best. Pragma Homes agreed to Sponsor one full cutter set up so our Tamariki can continue to learn how to sail on the Hamilton Lake. With this generous Donation Pragma homes out Tamariki now and to come can learn the magic of sailing for the years to come.

Pink Ribbon Breakfast

Last month, Pragma successfully hosted Pink Ribbon Breakfast event. It was our first time organising such an occasion. We reached out to our suppliers, requesting contributions for a raffle prize and their presence at the event. Tickets were sold at $50 per person, and we received exceptionally generous donations. These included a 75-inch Panasonic TV from Live Electrical, a two-night stay at an Airbnb in Waihi Beach courtesy of the Vibe Group, and an Air New Zealand Mystery weekend away donated by Sanjil Mistry.

Our event featured three distinguished guest speakers: Komal Mistry-Mehta, Fonterra's Chief Innovation and Brand Officer; Jen Baird, Chief Executive Officer of The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand (REINZ); and Stacey Martin, Senior Partner Waikato from BNZ. Katrina Tombleson from Harcourts graciously hosted the gathering. Pragma's team members played a significant role in setting up the event at The Woodlands, while our staff from Aaron Court handled the catering and waitressing. This provided them with an opportunity to showcase Pragma Hospitality's catering options.

We proudly donated $17,070 to the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Foundation. The event was exclusively for women, and the atmosphere was lively, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the daytime affair. The feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Going forward, we aim to organise similar events to raise awareness, focusing on different causes each year
